July/August 2008 - Publishers Message:

Believe it or not, this issue starts our 10th year of bringing you AutoArt Magazine. I know I've said it before but the work within has truly been incredible. To kick off our 10th year we're bringing you another killer issue. We're starting off by introducing you to King George from Lawrence, Kansas. I didn't grow up around here (KC area) but many times at car shows and events I have been asked about King George. I got the pleasure of meeting him a few years back in Lawrence while working a show. We got a knock on our motorhome door and lo and behold! It was King George himself. We talked for several hours and some of the stories he had about working fairs and shows were a gas to hear, we could have gone on all night but I had to get up and work the show the next day. He has influenced many people throughout the Midwest for many years.

We have a new feature coming to you in each issue from Brian The Brush Briskie entitled BRUSHIT (see page 34). We feel that Brian will be a great asset to all of our readers. We also have some great how-tos, from Patrick Kelley, Jack Giachino, and Stephanie Arsenault who is a student at Southeastern Regional Vocational Tech in South Easton, Ma, plus a lot of our craft's top talents throughout.

Our goal with this magazine is to help every reader in one way or another. I've always figured that if I received one tip from a magazine, it paid for itself and anything else was extra. With that in mind from now on here in my publisher's message I'm going to start giving you a Tip a Time which I'm sure this will help save you money and more than pay for your subscription fee.
