I would like to begin by addressing the turmoil facing the U.S. and world economy. It has affected my everyday business and I'm sure you are all feeling the punch in one way or another. By the time you read this our country should have elected its choice for a new president and things may be on their way to a new normal. I sure hope that whoever it is takes the bull by the horns and is able to shake things up to improve what is happening. I believe that the economy will get better in time and I believe that we in our industry have the perseverance to endure, remember the saying "when the going gets tough, the tough get going."
I can assure you that we here at AAM are not going to give up. We realize that when being bombarded with bad news or rough times, everyone needs some sort of positive inspiration and motivation. This magazine is like a fine engine with many different parts all working together to make it run. Our contributors are made up of many of this industry's finest, nowhere else can you find more versatility and talent and this issue is no exception. Once again we are bringing you more of the industry's best. We have a lot of really good stuff in this issue; some great how-to articles from Sal Cabrera, Chris MacMahan, Ed Hubbs and Matt Atomik. We also have tons of eyekandy and lots of killer work.
The success of any magazine is determined by its content, the question is does the reader get his/her money's worth? This is the key to determining if they continue and renew their subscription for another year. We've received comments like "best magazine I've ever seen," "each magazine keeps getting better and better," "only magazine I subscribe to," along with a lot of other great comments. Thanks gang for the encouraging words.
